About All Maharashtra ThangTa Association

All Maharashtra ThangTa Association is an state level body constituated duly registered under societies registration Act 1860 ( 21 of 1860 ) and P. T. Act 1950 (29 of 1950 ) having its registered office at C/o M.K.Dhuldhar, Yadav Bldg. Behind HVPM, Shrinathwadi, AMRAVATI-444 605. The date of commencement of establishment of AMTTA , is 24th Nov. 1993 and had registered in the year 2009, having affiliated 29 Districts units in Maharashtra state for the purpose of Thang-Ta Martial Arts promotion.

 

AMTTA is working for the several activities to promote Indian Martial Arts Thang-Ta Sports and Cultural promotion and to develop Thang-Ta sportsmanship for youth in the state of Maharashtra, providing education and training to the young and aged in the aspects of movements in physical, mental, spiritual and morality with defence methods in the field of Thang –Ta Martial Arts, Sports and Culture of India, and to instruct defence methods in Thang-Ta Martial Arts, sport activities, demonstrations and play of Thang-Ta Martial Arts with and without weapons such as sword, spear, stick, cheibee (sporting weapons) and to provide free hand skill of defence in sportsmanship of Thang-Ta to the young & aged. And to organized cultural exchange camps, programmes, exhibitions , workshops, seminars, orientation refresher courses in the level of District, Zone,State,National,and International Standard and to organized, sponsor Thang-Ta Championships at the level of District, State,National and international and to participate same which come to be organized by Thang-Ta Federation of India, World Thang-Ta Council, Meitei Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Academy Manipur, Thang-Ta Varsity Maharashtra (AMLSVSPM) Amravati, and other departments under Government of India and state of Maharashtra and foreign contries and to control style and rules of Thang-Ta Game for all District and state level and to promote the sense of national integration among the different sections of Districts, State , National and to manage institutation, Academies for training of Huyel langlon THANG-TA Martial Arts Sports and culture.


About Thang-Ta Federation of India

This Is an apex body of Indian Martial Arts Thang-Ta Huyel Langlon (Thang-Ta), has been duly registered under the societies registration Act XXI of 1860. bearing registration No. S. 38532 of 2001, having its registered office situated at H. No. 3132 A, Arya pura Delhi - 7 and its National Head Quarter at, Huyel Langlon (Thang-Ta) Academy, Yumnam Huidrom, 795008, Manipur (India).

 

The main object of establishing Thang-Ta Federation of India is to promote the Indian Martial arts Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta, and to established promote training of physical culture, spiritual and moral education in the field of Indian Martial Arts Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta to the youth and ages, and to used weapons such as Sword, Stick, Spear, Chaibee and other weapons etc and free hand skills in the method of Thang-Ta games and cultural activity programmes and to organised cultural exchange, camps, programmes, festivals, exhibitions, workshop, seminar, orientation refreshers courses in the level of zonal, National and International standards and to organised, sponsore, Thang-Ta champoinship, festivals at the levels of Zonal, National and International and to participate in the tournaments, championships sport festivals, cultural camp, youth camp, seminar sponsored or organised by World Thang-Ta Council and Meitei Huyel Langlon academy. International head quarter manipur and other departments under Govt. of India and foreign countries and to affiliate only one Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association from every state in India and to spread / training Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta to all states of this country and foreigned countries under the guidance of / theory of Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Academy, International Head quarter Manipur India and to recognised all the players, instructors of Thang-Ta martial Arts residing in India and foreign countries, who were identified and promoted to their trainings and awarded to a grade by the Meitei Huyel Langlon Academy, International Head Quarter, Manipur and to control styles and rules of Thang-Ta Games for all states and national levels and to promote the sense of National Integration among the different sections of state, countries and to manage institutions / academy for training of Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta arts.

 

Thang-Ta Federation of India has a total of 27 affiliated state units / Associations as on this date and had conducted 17th times National Thang-Ta Competitions Since 1993 at different states of India and one Federation Cup and one World Thang-Ta Competition. The state units in the country had been used to conducting Inter District and Inter college competitions since 1993. The Game of Thang-Ta has been recognised by the Indian Olympic Association Since 2006.

 

Beside this world bodies of Thang-Ta Asian Thang-Ta Federation, World Thang-Ta Council and World Thang-Ta Federation, were formed for the promotion of Thang-Ta martial arts game. Thang-Ta is an indigenous martial arts game, orginated from Manipur, India has now become very popular and promoted in the country and abroad through this federation and possess utility.


About Thang-Ta Martial Arts Origin

ThangTa Tournament Thang-Ta is an Indian Martial Arts, originated from Manipur a tiny north estern state of India, it is traditional martial art of Manipur, erstwhile it is indigenous manipuri combative art of warfare, defence and security, which was very prominent in the land before the sophisticated armforce and explosive substitution Thang-Ta martial arts is the part of great heroic tradition of Manipur India meant for defend the country and human freedom and healthiness of the people.

 

Thang-Ta at parental source used to preserved and practised traditionaly by manipuri meitei societies since time immemorial as rich cultural heritage and educational advance in physical welfare and sofeguarding to the individual societies and nation. It is developed from the war environment, become popular item as cultural, rituals entertainment, physical welfare and self defence.

 

Beside this in referances of ancient manuscripts veda-purana, puya, mythological lores and the belief of meitei societies in respect of origin of Thang-Ta, is concerned to supreme power all mighty God the creator of universe, earth and heaven, according to this, the Thang-Ta first introduced by devine deity 'Pakhangba" (coiled serpent motit) while creation of universe at the task of protection, leveling, testing and stamping of earth, all the movements arised by this event is the Thang-Ta, Accordingly "Pakhangba" self is Thang-Ta. It has reverance of devine power. The origin of Thang-Ta is as old as mythological origin of earth. The Origin of Thang-Ta is full of legend.
